Are you in pain when you wake up?
Here are a few possible causes and some remedies.
Your body is most Acidic around 3 in the morning. The best way to check your body acidity are ph strips. Spit and/ or pee on one, compare the color to the chart, and see where you are. If you are continually acidic, you want to get the body more alkaline.
It's been well documented that an acidic body is typically an unhealthy body for many reasons.
Sleeping too long is one that's gotten me. I've seen pictures of my back and it looks pretty good but sleeping to long can cause me pain. This is usually due to the muscles being in one position too long. When you go to move, those stiff muscles will let you know that they're not ready.
Spinal alignment is a factor as well. This places a role in many ways. First, if the spine is out of position that means there will be nerve pressure. If there's nerve pressure there may be pain, not to mention arthritis may set in earlier. Last, it will effect the muscles too. Certain muscle may be shortened and tightened; others may be continually stretched.
The Discs are another component - keeping hydrated is key. This goes for the muscles as well. You see the discs are in between each bone of the spine. They not only work as a shock absorber, but they also maintain the space to keep the neural foramen open. These are the holes on each side of the spine where the nerv root travels off the spinal cord. Keeping them hydrated also make sure they maintain a good height. When they become died out and arthritic, they flatten, shrinking the space. They also can bulge right into that foraminal space as well as the central canal.
You can have a bulge in any part of the spine - whatever nerves have pressure or anywhere lower on the cord may have the issue.
Maybe you even get stiffness and not pain so much... Why does this happen and how can I prevent it? This really depends on which nerves you put pressure on. Some may give a pain response, others maybe something else. As you can guess - fixing all of these issues will help you get rid of the pain...
